About

Experimental artists and adventurous listeners will once again find refuge in the enchanting setting of the Fortna convent during one slow Sunday afternoon. In addition to an immersive experience of tranquil music and innovative sounds performed by top musicians, you’ll also have the opportunity to explore the world of quietude through workshops, a tea bar, and a cozy reading room.

The main guest of the 5th edition of the Prague Quiet Music Festival will be Phonetic Orchestra — an innovative ensemble from Berlin that explores the landscapes of silence and sonic subtlety with both delicacy and courage, gently pushing the boundaries of contemporary music. Across three concert sessions, Phonetic Orchestra will engage in a creative dialogue with the Prague Quiet Music Collective to present original compositions by their members, alongside works by Anthony Donofrio (USA), Marcus Lundberg (SE), and Radu Malfatti (AT).

Accommodation

Let the silence resonate within you

After the final concert, there’s no need to rush back to the noise of the city — you can enjoy a peaceful night in a convent overlooking Prague. We offer festival packages that include a ticket and an overnight stay in a single or twin room at Fortna from Sunday to Monday. The rooms are former nuns’ cells, simply yet tastefully and functionally furnished. Towels and clean bed linen are provided. Each pair of neighbouring rooms shares a bathroom.
