About festival

Prague Quiet Music Festival is a festival of silence, slowing down, and deep presence. Over the course of two days, the Fortna convent above Prague transforms into a space for contemporary experimental music, quietness, and attentive listening. The festival offers an immersive exploration of slow music and new sounds presented by outstanding performers.

The 6th edition brings prominent international guests to Prague — Swedish composer Kristofer Svensson and American violinist Maya Bennardo. The programme features solo concerts, improvisation, and new works, including the world premiere of a composition by Kristofer Svensson and a new piece by PQMC artistic director Ian Mikyska.

The programme is complemented by workshops, light refreshments, and a reading corner.

Accommodation

Let the silence resonate within you.

After the concerts, there is no need to rush back to the noise of the city, you can spend a quiet night in a convent above Prague. The festival offers the possibility to slow down, stay longer, and let the silence linger in the unique setting of the convent, in two accommodation options (single or twin room). The rooms are former nuns’ cells, simply yet tastefully and functionally furnished. Towels and clean bed linen are provided. Each pair of neighbouring rooms shares a bathroom.

Accommodation is available for one night during the festival weekend:

Check-in: Saturday, 27 June 2026, from 14.00
Check-out: Sunday, 28 June 2026, by 21.00
(after the end of the festival programme)

If you wish to extend your stay until Monday, this is possible for an additional fee of 950 CZK per person. The extension does not need to be booked in advance and can be arranged and paid for on site at check-in (by cash or card).
